Lynne Allbutt launches charity calendar
TV presenter and horticultural specialist Lynne Allbutt is starring in a new calendar to help celebrate Marie Curie Cancer Care’s Diamond Anniversary in 2008.

Entitled Diamonds and Daffodils, the calendar contains all the information an avid gardener needs, including monthly gardening tips, Saint’s days, weather folklore and Royal Horticultural Society diary dates.

Behind the camera was award-winning photographer Gareth Phillips.

Lynne said: “My relationship with Marie Curie Cancer Care began 12 years ago when cancer finally outran my father.

Over the years I have raised funds for the charity by running marathons, competing in a swimathon and undertaking adrenaline-fuelled antics such as a parachute jump and a wing walk. When I was asked to appear in a calendar to celebrate the charity’s 60th anniversary in 2008, I readily agreed.”

IT is widely accepted that although we are all individuals, many of us can share certain personality traits.

These various types hold a fascination for anyone who likes to categorise.

The audacity of caring and sharing

This site derives from Lynne Allbutt writing and working outdoors for over 20 years and shares experiences of meeting people through MEDIA WALES, the Western Mail column, and with those who do understand the need for respect for the planet. It is not an attempt to push Lynne Allbutt's views on and press others to action. But it is a site to share issues with the public in a positive and infectious way.
